"Creativity is more than just being different. Anybody can plan weird; that's easy. What's hard is to be as simple as Bach. Making the simple, awesomely simple, that's creativity."
- Charles Mingus
At the time when I studied Film & Television in Tel Aviv University,
animated films were drawn by hand on celluloid and shot frame
by frame with a 16 mm camera.
Had someone told me then that one day I would become a website designer who creates animation with Flash, I would have thought that they were talking science fiction... but it seems that I was always curious about new technologies that could help me express myself in a visual way and communicate my ideas freely.
In 1987 I moved to New York City where I spent some of the most
inspiring and enriching years of my life. I studied architectural
photography at The New School for Social Research and advanced photographic techniques at the International Center for Photography, I returned to Israel and worked as a professional photographer for few years. In 1994 I studied graphic design, This opened a new and exciting channel of expression. As soon as I started browsing I started designing for the web.
Since then I work in my own multi-disciplinary studio, using all the
knowlege and experience that I have gained over the years.
I've realized that - technologies keep changing, while the concepts, ideas, theories and philosophies that inspired me many years ago, remain valueble and worthwile. Artists that inspired me many years ago, are a source of inspiration today, long after the technics that they used became old news... I belive that it's easy to make an impact on the viewer, using special effects. It's much more difficult to impress, to make someone enthusiastic and curious to know more about your product / your art / your service etc. This is my most important task - to create the best environment that will help you transfer your messages clearly, and communicate with your potential clients in the best way.
The Internet is a very impatient medium - While first impression in a real meeting, takes 30-60 seconds, in the internet it might take just few seconds. In one "click" your visitor might walk away, with no apology or excuse...
These and more are issues that I will have to deal with, while
striving to make you feel at home with your homepage.
